With the tagline “Fitness for the Enthusiast,” Pulse speaks directly to individuals motivated by challenge and driven by the vibrant energy of a supportive fitness atmosphere. At its core, Pulse emphasizes motivation, measurable results, and inclusivity. By incorporating science-backed, heart-rate-based training, the studio empowers clients to track their progress, maximize results, and feel inspired as they pursue their health and wellness goals.

Why Pulse Chose Me for the Logo Design

Pulse approached me with a clear vision: they wanted a logo that conveyed their energy and motivation while embracing inclusivity and standing out in the competitive fitness industry. Logo Development Process

1. Initial Concept Exploration

  • Through discussions about Pulse’s core values and vision, we identified key themes to highlight: energy, rhythm, movement, and motivation.
  • The design direction centered on creating a dynamic wordmark that visually communicated these qualities, aligning with the brand’s focus on heart-rate-based training.
  • A line-based typography approach was chosen, incorporating bold, rhythmic lines to symbolize motion and a “pulse” or heartbeat.

2. Color and Style Selection

  • To reflect the high-energy nature of the brand, we explored vibrant color options that symbolized intensity and vitality.
  • A rainbow gradient from red to blue was chosen to represent diversity, inclusivity, and continuous movement, becoming a signature element of the design.
  • A dark background enhanced the brightness of the gradient, creating a striking contrast and a sense of depth.

3. Typography and Line-Based Design

  • The initial designs featured line-based typography, with multiple thin lines within each letter to convey motion and rhythm.
  • After testing, we refined the typography by thickening the lines to improve visibility and scalability while maintaining the unique layered effect.
  • Adjustments to letter shapes created a more uniform, squared look, enhancing the logo’s modern and structured feel.

4. Testing and Refinement

  • The logo was tested across different sizes and mediums to ensure clarity and adaptability. The thickened lines maintained legibility, even at smaller sizes, while preserving the vibrant gradient effect.
  • The tagline “Fitness for the Enthusiast” was incorporated beneath the logo, reinforcing Pulse’s mission and motivational focus.

5. Final Design Approval
